Start – (9 am)

The Tower of London

Plan an iconic start to the day by visiting this famous attraction in London. The Tower of London is right next to Tower Hill Tube Station. As you exit the station, you see Tower of London right in front of you. Head straight to main entrance of the tower, which is 5 minutes walk from the station.

It is one of the ancient castles on banks of river Thames, which welcomes you to great British history of Crown Jewels, and a collection or armour and weapons of King Henry VIII.

Extra Tips: Do not miss the Yeoman Warders at the Tower. They are entertaining, they iconic, and they are nicknamed as – ‘Beefeaters’. They are traditional Royal Guards at the tower, who will entertain you with tales of execution, imprisonment, intrigue, and much more. This one hour Beefeaters tour starts every 30 minutes and is included in your ticket price.

Walk to Tower Bridge

Once you exit the Tower of London, turn left, and take a stroll down to famous Tower Bridge. Climb the stairs and walk to the middle of the bridge.

London’s famous Tower Bridge offers an excellent opportunity to click photos of Tower of London, the bridge, and Thames. If you are lucky, then you might see the bridge going up to allow ships pass under it.

Extra Tips: You can visit Tower Bridge Exhibition, which available on the bridge. But, if you do not have enough time, then skip this to see other attractions. Moreover, it is not worth spending £8 for this exhibition.

Take Tube to St. Paul’s Cathedral

From the Tower Bridge, take a stroll back to Tower of London. Head to Tower Hill tube station. Take District/Circle Line westbound and get off at Monument station. Exit Monument station and walk down for few minutes on King William Street towards north. You will see Bank Tube Station on right side of the road.

Take a train from this station on Central Line westbound and get down at St Paul’s station. Exit the station and cross the road, while turning into a small ally – St. Paul’s Church Yard. Take a stroll down this ally for around 20 metres to visit beautiful St. Paul’s Cathedral.

A marvellous building, right in the heart of London, St. Paul’s Cathedral is a must visit on your day trip to the capital. This landmark attraction is open for sightseeing from Monday to Saturday, between 8.30 am and 4 pm.

This cathedral is well known for its dome (an important feature of London skyline), its stunning interiors, and uncovered fascinating stories of its history. Climb the dome to Whispering Gallery or go on a multimedia tour of the church, there is plenty to explore at this monument.

Take Tube to Leicester Square

Once you finish your visit at St. Paul’s Cathedral, go back to St Paul’s tube station. Take Central Line westbound and get off at Tottenham Court Road station. Switch to Northern Line southbound from here to get off at Leicester Square station.

Walk Down to Trafalgar Square

Finish your lunch and start walking down Charing Cross Road for around 15 minutes to reach Trafalgar Square.

Walk to London Eye

From Trafalgar Square walk down to Northumberland Avenue until you reach Thames. You will find stairs near the river that will take you to Hungerford Bridge. Cross this pedestrian bridge and turn right to reach London Eye.

Walk to St. Steven’s Tavern
