Rivington Place – A Place Where Upcoming Talents Grows
Rivington Place is a signpost for the British art scene. It was designed by the extraordinarily famous architect David Adjaye and the entire complex is estimated £8 million. Rivington Place provides facilities to artists like photography archive, seminar, research library and screening space for free. Rivington Place is located in Shoreditch, London.

- Currents of Time
The world acclaimed artist Zineb Sedira displayed her new collection under the title of Currents of Time. The show went on from 21st May 2009 to 25th May 2009 in Revington Place. The show was sponsored by INIVA (Institute of International Visual Arts) and was featuring a solo exhibition of Zineb Sedira’s new work. There you could carefully observe Zineb’s most recent video installation. It was displayed in a complex arrangement of 14 different screens. The sound is done by Mikhail Karikis. According to Zineb her work investigates the unusual coastline of Mauritania where the desert, sea and man struggle to survive. Another attraction to the exhibition was going to her new photographic and light box works made juxtaposition “Floating Coffins”. - Film Screenings
Previous works by Curator Andrea Schleiker like Middlesea and Saphir was showcased along with Zineb Sedia’s new Shipwreck Series(2009) on 28th May. The artist Curator Andrea Schleiker was present throughout the screening for interaction purposes with the art lovers. - Conversation: Sound in Vision
The Sound medium in video installation was described here. One got to know how things work by the experts present. The event was held on 11th July 2009. Trevor Mathison and Mikhail Karikis who have proved themselves time and time again were available for interaction. - Off the Map
A part of Institute of International Visual Arts’ creative mapping project exhibited map related information. It explained how you can explore different maps according to the social, emotional and political world. - LATI RI
Lati Ri is situated inside the Rivington Place and is a revolutionary centre for visual arts. Lati Ri offers services like internet café, wifi access and a café bar throughout the week. The food is to relish and is prepared daily using local suppliers. Menu card has great meat, special breads, cheese, new brewed coffee, fresh juice and collection of cheese. Lati Ri also does social services like recycling waste. The packaging is bio-degradable and made from recyclable materials. - Street Fest
Street fest is an amazing art festival where the emphasis is to promote emerging creative geniuses. Street fest is more like a block party than being an ordinary fest. The Street Fest has always attracted guests by making the fest more and more, out of the box and interactive experience. Street Fest showcases – live music, live art performances, films, biking, roller- skating, skateboarding, hair and fashion shows. The art world comes to your neighbourhood.
